Hail & Farewell

Monday, June 15, 2020

“Appreciation can make a day, even change a life. Your willingness to put it into words is all that is necessary.” – Margaret Cousins

This week we pause to say “Thank you!” to team members Jennifer Temple and Danielle Rich, who are this month taking the next steps in their careers.

Jennifer has been there since day one of our relaunch and has worked behind the scenes to organize the events and meetings that have built our KEDCo community. Danielle has led development of the menu of talent recruitment and retention services we are building to share with local employers.

We share our gratitude with Jennifer and Danielle for all their contributions to our work at KEDCo and we are excited to see them both succeed in their new ventures!

While our KEDCo team continues to work remotely for the most part, the next few weeks will see the return of a handful of in-person meetings. We are hosting meetings at outdoor locations and with occupancy limits and social distancing measures in place.

First, our Outside the Fishbowl series for residents who have relocated to the area from elsewhere restarts tomorrow at Port Winona. Click the link for more details. We’re building a community among residents who have relocated here from within the last few months to decades ago.

Next, our quarterly Executive Roundtable series will resume on Thursday, June 25th at The Upper Deck at Spike’s Beach Grill. The registration link includes details about our panel discussion on ‘The Future of Work.’

One more thing, we are adjusting the timeline of our Summer Innovation Series to start on Wednesday, June 24th. These six online workshops will provide us – and all of us are innovators – with tools for creative problem solving as we focus on the long-term success of our organizations.
