“Coming together is a beginning; keeping together is progress; working together is success.” Henry Ford

Our team at KEDCo is scanning for available resources to support local companies and

communities through this time of economic disruption. We are compiling a list of resources with brief descriptions at our website that should be available by the end of the day.

Also, look for a KEDCo needs assessment survey coming by email early this week. Your feedback will help us to identify opportunities to make connections to existing resource partners and to develop programs and services to meet the needs of local businesses.

For now, we want to make sure business decision makers, community leaders, and local residents are aware of three specific opportunities:

Gener8tor Emergency Response webinar series: register by 3/25 for a free one-week series of daily lunchtime programs designed to identify, understand, and help small businesses secure resources to withstand the current crisis. Registration HERE.

SBA Economic Injury Disaster Loans: The SBA EIDL program can provide low-interest loans of up to $2 million to businesses and private non-profits to pay fixed debts, payroll, accounts payable and other bills. EIDL’s have long-term repayment options, up to a maximum of 30 years. Terms are determined on a case-by-case basis, based on borrower’s ability to repay. Apply HERE.

Indiana Department of Workforce Development: DWD will host two live webinars for Hoosiers impacted by the COVID-19 crisis. The 30-minute live programs will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 24, and at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, March 25. Register HERE. Once recorded, the program will then be posted HERE.

We are coming off a 10-year economic expansion that saw ever-increasing expectations for individual performance and productivity. As we adjust to this new normal, let’s ‘go easy’ on ourselves, take time to support family, friends, neighbors, and colleagues, and write a new story about our resiliency.
