Spring hopes eternal

Tuesday, May 12, 2020

“We Americans have many grave problems to solve, many threatening evils to fight, and many deeds to do, if, as we hope and believe, we have the wisdom, strength, and the courage and virtue to do them.” – Theodore Roosevelt

There is so much discussion right now in our communities, in the state of Indiana, and around the country about re-opening. We are all anxious to get our economy back on track. To reiterate a comment I shared last week, we are not ‘going back to how things were, but rather ‘going forward.’

One of the first things I do in the morning these days is check the weather forecast to get a sense of when it will be possible to get outside for some fresh air. Forecasting is also so important to our businesses and communities as we go forward.

Our team at KEDCo continues to seek out business and community leaders to help us make sense of changes happening that are disrupting our business model so that we can adjust our forecasts. We can connect you to resources to help with your forecasting and planning, as well.

We’re also collecting stories of how businesses and communities are changing the ways they do things. Drop me a line to share your insights. I look forward to hearing from you. Here’s to the springtime that is coming, and the hope that keeps us going forward!
