National journalist tours sites in warsaw and winona lake

Friday, October 1, 2021

The Northeast Indiana Regional Partnership (Partnership), KEDCO, The City of Warsaw, and additional community and business partners recently welcomed Chicago-based freelance journalist Jeffrey Steele (Jeff), for an afternoon tour in Warsaw. Jeff’s writings have appeared in Chicago and national media more than 4,000 times. He’s been featured in publications such as Bankrate, Construction Dive, Forbes, MSN, Multi-Housing News, The Motley Fool (U.S.) and more.

The Partnership welcomed Jeff to parts of the northeast Indiana region for a few days to highlight business and community development projects, particularly projects underway or recently constructed.

KEDCO team members, along with business and community partners, Cary Groninger of Groninger Group and G&G Hauling, Dan Robinson of Robinson Construction, and Mayor Thallemer, offered a tour of several community and business development project sites in Warsaw and Winona Lake. Projects highlighted were the Argonne Corridor; Miller Sunset Pavilion at Winona Lake; Gateway Grove ; the former Owen’s site; and the group toured the newly constructed Nextremity Solutions facility at Warsaw Tech Park.

It was an optimal opportunity to showcase a handful of transformative projects in the community, and to (hopefully) receive a series of highlights in national publications. We’re grateful to our community and business partners who supported these efforts!

The rain didn’t stop the group from getting a closer peek of Miller Sunset Pavilion.
Dan Robinson shared more insight on the project.
Nextremity COO Chris Cook and CFO Dan Stichter led the group on a tour of the
state-of-the-art facility located at Warsaw Tech Park.
The group took Jeff on a driving tour through Gateway Grove.
